Mayflower Announces Enhanced Assisted Living Staffing

Angie Dillon, LPN is The Mayflower Community’s new Assisted Living and Home Services Coordinator. She has worked in healthcare at Mayflower since 2009, having served as a Health Center charge nurse and as the South Village coordinator. Angie received her licensure for practical nursing (LPN) in 2011 from Marshalltown Community College. She holds a current Assisted Living Management Certification.

Vickie Wieck, RN has joined the Mayflower nursing leadership team as Assistant Director of Nursing with responsibilities for Assisted Living Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, and staff development. She received her RN licensure from Western Iowa Tech Community College School of Nursing, Sioux City. Vickie worked for 34 years with the State of Iowa including most recently, the Department of Inspections and Appeals.

Mayflower has provided licensed Residential Care Services since 1984 and certified Assisted Living care since 1994. Currently, there are 23 private apartments in Mayflower’s Beebe building, with most certified for double occupancy. In addition to Angie and Vickie, the other 11 licensed and certified assisted living staff members have a combined 156 years of service in providing assisted living care, and average tenure of 14+ years.
