On Thursday, December 6th, 130 Mayflower residents and their guests enjoyed the annual Mayflower “Prelude to Christmas” dinner in the Buckley Dining Room. Afterwards, they moved to the Carman Center (via tunnel and skywalk!) for a show—The Shults and Company vocal and instrumental winter ensemble, who provided a review of holiday music.

The Swedish-themed dinner featured a family style cold plate of pickled herring in wine sauce, smoked whitefish, pickled beets, deviled eggs, assorted cheeses, Scandinavian flat bread, and Swedish limpa rye bread. The main course included Swedish meatballs (of course!), smoked ham, Swedish potato sausage, hasselback potatoes, brown beans, red cabbage, and Swedish fruited coleslaw. Desert included two varieties of Swedish cookies and Swedish rice pudding.

Residents and guest enjoyed this special holiday night out.
