The Mayflower Community’s 13-passenger shuttle van, “Lester the Bus,” has resumed Wednesday afternoon store runs. For many years, prior to the pandemic, the van driven by volunteer drivers, picked up residents on the Mayflower campus and shuttled them to four stores in Grinnell: McNally’s, Fareway, Hy-Vee, and Walmart.
Those rides have now resumed. Shoppers are dropped at one of the stores. Lester returns in the same order for post-shopping pick-ups.
