On Friday, October 13th, residents of Grinnell’s Mayflower Community welcomed Kellie McGriff as the new Executive Director. The reception was held in Mayflower’s multipurpose Carman Center.
Gerry Guenther, Mayflower Residents Association President, highlighted Kellie’s new role in his introduction to the afternoon event. Then, Kellie addressed the gathered residents.
Kellie talked about her professional journey in healthcare and, specifically, with Mayflower. She served as Mayflower’s Director of Nursing, then sales and marketing and independent living activities director, followed by Director of Home Services, and, for the past five years, as Associate Director/Nursing Home Administrator.
Kellie termed Mayflower her “Place to Call Home.” She expressed that she is looking forward to her new role as CEO and NHA (Nursing Home Administrator).
