On Thursday, December 5th, The Mayflower Community (Grinnell IA) presented the annual “Prelude to Christmas” dinner. The event featured the delicious food for which Mayflower is known plus resident and guest congeniality. In addition, the event was buoyed by the striking holiday décor in the Buckley Dining Room and outside, through the tall patio windows in the Buckley Courtyard.
- Over 80 residents and guests enjoyed the German-themed menu:
- Salad Plate at the table: Pear and Cranberry; Herring Salad; Carrots Salad
- Breads: Pumpernickel; Whole Wheat; Mocha Rye
- Dinner Buffet: Beef Rouladen; Pork Schnitzel; Spaetzle; Potatoes and Apples; Red Cabbage; Green Beans
- Dessert at the table: Anise Cookies & Cherry Torte
