Steve Langerud, Director of Mayflower Community, spent Saturday morning, September 29th working on leadership and communication skills with the DSM Fellows, a program of the Greater Des Moines Partnership at Camp Dodge in Des Moines.
The is the first year of the Des Moines Fellowship program, which is a professional development initiative program which attracts, develops and retains a diverse community of top-tier college graduates and young professionals.
Participating companies in the Des Moines area are sponsoring the Fellows in a two-year program. The initial committee is composed of employees who have joined their respective companies within the past year.
Fellows will be exposed to opportunities that advance their professional track and foster long-term connections. Fellows will complete a professional development curriculum, receive mentoring from executives in the region and have access to various community engagement opportunities, including a capstone project.
