On Thursday, May 16th, the “shrimp boat” docked on the Buckley Courtyard Patio for the “all you can eat Shrimp Boil.” A long way from New Orleans, the Grinnell menu included sides of red potatoes, sweet corn, sausage, coleslaw, garlic roll, and Beignets for dessert. Drinks include Miller Genuine Draft and Bud Light beer, ice tea, and lemonade.

The 100 reservations for the event were sold out two weeks ahead of time.

Following the 5:00pm social hour, dinner was served at 5:30pm. During that time, the “Anything for a Buck” Dixieland band provided entertainment. Led by clarinetist, Gregg Hawkins, the group included Levi Dressler on tuba, Rod Carlson on trumpet, Rich Thorson on trombone, and Hugh Sheridan on drums.
