On Thursday, October 26th, the Mayflower Residents Association Lyceum program in Mayflower’s Carman Center was Marc and Brandi Janssen of Solon. He on violin and she on guitar, this couple was back to their roots in Grinnell as both are Grinnell College graduates.
They shared stories about their music and their past, including the naming of some of their professors who are Mayflower residents.
Marc and Brandi performed rare old fiddle tunes, driving banjo numbers, early bluegrass songs, and country duets. It was a fun evening!
