The Mayflower Community superb baker, Teresa Nicklas-Beck, has been doing what we do for Thanksgiving…baking pies. She displays a couple of them in the accompanying photo, with a lot more (including pecan!) in the background.
Along with the first-class Thanksgiving Day meal that will be delivered by Mayflower staff to the doors of independent living residents, there will be pie. In addition, many residents order pies to take to Thanksgiving gatherings (social-distanced with face masks!). That is an easy way to be a local hero….delivering the pie.
