On Wednesday, September 18th, Grinnell’s Dari Barn mobile ice cream shop came to The Mayflower Community to provide treats for employees. As a gift from Mayflower’s Board of Trustees, employees ordered sandwiches and ice cream.
Owner Ginette McFarland and two of her employees parked the Dari Barn trailer in the Beebe Circle and started taking orders. Over a one-hour period, Mayflower employees used gift certificates for their food items. 64 employees were available to participate. Another 67 received a coupon for use at the store as their schedule permits.
Plans are to host the “On The Moooove” shop at Mayflower monthly beginning in the spring of 2020.
