Helen and Dale Lippincott celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, March 24th in The Mayflower Community Health Center.
The couple met in high school when she was a freshman and he was a sophomore. Helen knew she liked Dale. Subsequently, he left school to serve for two years in the Navy. When he returned, they still had an eye for one another. They were high school sweethearts.
Helen and Dale got married when she was 18 years old and he was 21 years old….75 years ago! At Mayflower’s Health Center, the happy occasion was celebrated with an open house. Mayflower’s Foodservice staff provided two big sheet cakes, homemade mints, and mixed nuts. Staff and residents signed a big card and took turns attending the event so that infection control protocols could be followed.
For the event, Helen and Dale’s family dropped off their wedding photo, a bouquet of flowers, and the responses to a card shower. Congratulations to the Lippincott Lovebirds!
